Support for the Library
Over the last six decades, the Putnam Valley Library has experienced
tremendous growth. We have gone from humble beginnings in Mrs. Rhea Johnson's
kitchen on Church Road to our own building and community center on Oscawana
Lake Road. In 1996, we purchased computers, through a grant, for an in-house
circulation system and for patron records. Our objective is to have this
system working by mid-1997 ... which will be our 60th
anniversary year.
In addition, we will continue to purchase as many new books, videos,
magazines, and audio tapes as our budget allows. We will also continue special
programs for all patrons.
However, we need your help! Your support
in any of the following ways would be extremely appreciated:
- Dontations to our annual fund drive.
- Memorial donations.
- Bequests.
- Donations of your services.
The Putnam Valley Library Staff and Board of Trustees thank you for your
past support and look forward to serving you in the future.
